Ancient Jordanian Antiquities

Jordan Jordan is one of the Arab countries in the Levant region and contains a large collection of ancient archaeological sites dating back to ancient times. These sites were used by the civilizations of Kalbizenitia, Ammonite, Amoy, Greek, Roman, Nabatean and many others, There are also many sites that have a great religious status; the prophets took place for a period of time like Mount Nebo. Ancient Jordanian Antiquities Petra is an archaeological site in the city of Ma'an in the southern part of Jordan. The site dates back to 312 BC. It was built by the Nabataeans, one of the oldest ancient civilizations. The site was known as a shopping center as a point From the Silk Road. Petra was discovered in 1812 by the Swiss orientalist Johann Ludwig Berckhart, and is now considered one of the most important symbols in the country because it became one of the seven new wonders of the world in 2007 and consists of the Sikh, the Treasury, the Monastery, the Theater, the Bint Palace, the Court and the Temple. Jerash Jerash is one of the most important archaeological sites in the north of Jordan. There are still many monuments that tell the stories of the ancient civilizations that were taken from the city and the most prominent archaeological sites: the southern theater: dating back to the century First Roman by the Romans, Wet P to nearly three thousand spectators, and although it used to be a place for the establishment of combat sports, but now the theater for a large musicals and concerts. The Way of the Nymphs: A place that contains a collection of water fountains that were built by the end of the second century AD. The Philadelphia Gate: It dates back to the second century AD and is now an archeological relic after the destruction of the city in 268 AD. Temple of Artemis: dates back to the second century AD, and built to be a temple guard for the city and protection from foreign wars. Hipodorm is a sports site that is a dedicated circus track and horse race. The seminar is an oval-shaped square. The most important feature is that it contains a group of columns. The cathedral with the stone gate: It dates back to the 4th century AD as a Byzantine church. Cave of the people of the cave is one of the sites of ancient religious archeology; it was associated with the story of the people of the cave mentioned in the Koran, and although there is no specific year to discover it, but was discovered by the Jordanian archaeologist Rafiq Wafa Dajani during 1963 in the south-eastern part of Amman, Jordan.
